At Bayshore Guest Home, our Extended Congregate Care program offers a warm, supportive environment for individuals who need assistance with daily activities while maintaining as much independence as possible. Our experienced and compassionate team provides a higher level of care than standard assisted living, ensuring residents receive the support they need to live comfortably and safely.
Who Is Congregate Care For?
Our Extended Congregate Care program is ideal for individuals who:
- Require assistance with up to four Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, or eating.
- Need help with mobility and transfers but can be assisted safely.
- May have stage two pressure sores and require specialized care.
- Can be bedridden for up to 14 days but do not require continuous skilled nursing care.
- Are not at risk of harming themselves or others.
- Do not require 24-hour skilled nursing supervision but still need medical oversight.
Comprehensive Nursing Services Provided
Bayshore Guest Home is licensed to offer a range of nursing services to meet the needs of our residents, including:
Colostomy bag changes and suprapubic catheter care
Oxygen administration and respiratory support
Routine care for amputations
or fractures that require only standard medical attention
Prophylactic and palliative skin care to maintain skin integrity
